What we do

About

Holistic & Integrative Medicine

“Integrative medicine has a larger meaning and mission, its focus being on health and healing rather than disease and treatment. It views patients as whole people with minds and spirits as well as bodies and includes these dimensions into diagnosis and treatment”
British Medical Journal, January 2001.

Disease or ill health arises as a result of imbalance, either from within the body or due to external factors in the environment such as chemicals, bacteria, viruses, parasites or heavy metals.

Here at Sydney Holistic & Cosmetic Medicine, rather than suppress symptoms, we support the body’s natural healing processes. Using the very best in medical advancements combined with a holistic therapies programme, we’ve helped make a significant difference in the quality of life for those suffering from chronic illnesses or disease.

We understand humans are complex and that our health is impacted by a number of factors.
Therefore, our focus is tailored to the individual addressing their physical, psychological, mental, social and spiritual needs. And combining the best of conventional and natural holistic therapies in order to maximise the body’s natural healing mechanisms.

What we specialise in

Functional Medicine

Functional medicine differs from conventional medicine in that it attempts to alleviate symptoms by identifying their underlying cause.

For example; if you go to the doctor and find out you have high cholesterol, you’ll be given medication to lower it. And you may be expected to take that drug for the rest of your life.

Functional medicine will investigate further into why your cholesterol is high and how to manage it naturally.

Herbal Medicine

A treatment that combines traditional herbalism with modern clinical evidence-based herbal medicine.
