Pain Management
Electro Pain Therapy (without needles)

This is similar to traditional acupuncture in that the same points are stimulated during treatment but we do not use needles.

Instead, we use a seven-point electrode to stimulate the different acupuncture and trigger points. The same applies to laser acupuncture. Most patients report immediate relief!

Electro Pain Therapy works very well for various types of pain whether recovery from joint replacement and other surgeries, menstrual cramps and irregularities, headaches, even stress.

This method is preferable to traditional acupuncture when treating chronic pain and other chronic conditions as the results are much better and quicker.

For acute pain, 4-8 treatments, for chronic pain 8-18 sessions.

Electro Pain Therapy should not be used on anyone who has a pacemaker because the electrical stimulation might disrupt the function of the pacemaker.

Low-Level Laser Therapy

Low-Level Laser Therapy has been shown through many studies to have beneficial effects for musculoskeletal and osteoarthritis symptoms. Because it does not produce heat or cold. Low-level laser therapy is also well tolerated.

A LLLT device works by delivering a low intensity beam of laser light directly onto the skin above the inflamed joint.

This concentrated beam of light boosts the body’s natural anti-inflammatory healing process at the cellular level. It helps to reduce pain and inflammation caused by inflammation and osteoarthritis.

Low-level laser therapy also eases muscle spasms.

The effects of LLLT treatments include:

  • Increased production of endorphins for a reduction in pain.
  • Enhanced lymphatic flow to drain cellular waste.
  • Increased circulation.
  • Increased rate of cellular growth and repair.
  • Reduces fibrous tissue formation.
  • Stimulates tissue healing.

Typically, low-level laser devices use specific wavelengths, between 600nm (visible red) – 905nm (infrared). A beam of low-level laser light penetrates into the tissue through the skin to a specific depth depending on the wavelength.

BIOPTRON technology

BIOPTRON technology allows for optimal penetration of the light to the different layers of the skin, providing maximum cell bio stimulation and accelerated healing of damaged tissue.

Acoustic Shockwave Therapy

Acoustic Shockwave Therapy is a high-intensity sound wave which interacts with the tissue of the body resulting in reversing inflammation, dissolution of calcium build-up and stimulation of collagen production. This creates an optimal healing environment.

For soft tissue issues whether this is a low back, neck, tendonitis or plantar fasciitis has been proven to be very successful.

A typical course of treatment involves 3-6 sessions. Results are evident from the first two sessions. Depending on your problem you may need one to two sessions per week.

Acoustic sound waves can be used to treat a broad spectrum of health and pain conditions and promote healing:

  • Chronic or Acute Musculoskeletal Pain
  • Poor Circulation
  • Limited Range of Motion
  • Soft Tissue Damage
