Bad fats promoting inflammation and disease

I would like to bring to your attention to serious dietary problems that nearly everyone reading this article is facing right now. These dietary problems are being recognized by leading medical professionals around the world as a major contributor to the increasing frequency of joint and muscle pain, sluggish metabolism, weight gain, accelerated aging, skin conditions, mood swings,  memory and mental issues.

What dietary problems am I talking about?

I’m talking about the harsh reality that the typical Western diet and even many so-called “healthy” diet plans contain far too many inflammation-promoting Omega-6 fatty acids and not nearly enough anti-inflammatory Omega-3 fatty acids.

Common foods that contribute to dietary problems

Mainly are non-organic beef, poultry,  pork, traditionally raised eggs from caged chickens, non- organic dairy products such as yogurt, milk, butter and cheese, farmed fish, peanut butter and most of the processed foods from a box, container or jar.

Dietary problems start from the imbalance of the ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 fatty acids

Due to the opposing effects of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, a healthy diet should contain a balanced omega-6:omega-3 ratio. Human beings evolved eating a diet with an omega-6:omega-3 ratio of about 1:1. Modern Western diets exhibit omega-6:omega-3 ratios ranging between 15:1 to 17:1, promoting the development of many chronic diseases, while a reduced omega-6:omega-3 ratio can prevent or reverse these diseases.

For example, a ratio of 4:1 was associated with a 70% reduction in mortality in secondary coronary heart disease prevention and a ratio of 2.5:1 reduced rectal cell proliferation in patients with colorectal cancer. A lower omega-6:omega-3 ratio in women was associated with decreased risk for breast cancer. A ratio of 2:1–3:1 suppressed inflammation in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, and a ratio of 5:1 had a beneficial effect on patients with asthma, whereas a ratio of 10:1 had adverse consequences. All this promotes chronic inflammation which is toxic for our bodies, compromising our health, accelerating aging and increasing joint pain.

These dietary problems that create toxic inflammation have also been shown to disrupt your body’s ability to burn fat, making it nearly impossible to lose weight, promoting a persistent slow-burning fire that damages the healthy tissues of your body including the heart and arteries (causing your arterial walls to thicken and narrow), arthritis, leaky gut, immune suppression, thyroid disruption, skin and brain issues.
